D&O Assistant Underwriter
Property & Casualty Insurance
The successful candidate will serve as back-up and resource for the corporate D&O underwriting staff. Maintain underwriting performance standards in respects to quality and processing timeliness in order to achieve superior customer services for accounts processed by the TEAM. Manage workflow in order to prevent processing violations associated with time service. Proof all documents in respects to grammar, spelling, technical consistency with processing practices and standards. Work with external customers, Underwriters and various divisions to investigate and resolve individual account issues. Develop and maintain a professional relationship with Members and / or the brokerages representing the company. Keep premium collections current.
Minimum 3 years D&O underwriting knowledge. Undergraduate degree; degree in a business related field a plus. Professional insurance designation desired. Working knowledge of insurance terms, concepts, products and coverages; prior experience in an insurance company / broker environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office : specifically Word and Excel. Working knowledge of technical rating programs and UW Operating systems.
