General Liability Claims Adjuster

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled General Liability Claims Adjuster to join our team. This role will be responsible for effectively managing specialized multi-line general liability claims, providing exceptional customer service, and performing various administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effective management of general liability claims from routine to complex
- Coverage analysis of primary and excess coverage as applicable
- Investigation, litigation, and budget management through trial and appeal as applicable
- Vendor and settlement payments, reserving, reporting, evaluation, negotiation/settlement, vendor management, and other tasks as requested or required
Requirements:
- NJ Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in work experience
- Three to five years of progressively responsible claims positions or related job responsibilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with staff and constituents
- Demonstrated high degree of judgment within delegated authority
- Knowledge of applicable claim procedures, statutes, compliance, insurance laws, and insurance coverage
- Ability to work independently
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Word and Excel
Work Arrangements:
This position is remote for the remainder of the year, but candidates should be able to attend onsite team meetings if needed. In the new year, the position will be hybrid with two days onsite.
Equipment Requirements:
Must own a personal desktop computer or laptop with high-speed internet access. It is the employee's responsibility to maintain this equipment to ensure compatibility with the Association's computer systems and remote access technologies. Must have a mobile phone for two-factor authentication while telecommuting.
