WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Assist in the temporary shutdown of facility electrical equipment, systems, and electrical components necessary for renovation, repair, and new construction projects. Design, construct, install and remove various facility electrical equipment, systems, and electrical components. Diagnose malfunctions in facility electrical equipment, systems, or electrical components and take appropriate corrective and preventative actions. Maintain appropriate documentation for the facility’s electrical equipment, systems, and electrical components. Maintain appropriate inventory of replacement electrical equipment and systems. Maintain the computerized maintenance management system through the appropriate completion of work orders and the recording of equipment history. Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on all facility electrical equipment, systems, and components in accordance with prescribed procedures. Provide quality control for new installations or replacements of facility electrical equipment, systems, and electrical components performed by others. Respond to emergency situations such as an electrical outage, ruptured pipe, fires or other hospital codes per hospital and department emergency response plans.
