WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Responsible for appropriate distribution of patient care resources in order to comply with established staffing guidelines. Communicate potentially significant issues on a timely basis in order to facilitate continuity of investigation and resolution. (via chain of command) Serve as hospital administrator during tour of duty in order to assure consistent direction and leadership of organizational activities. Identify and places all patients, including direct admits and transfers. Collaborate with other departments to prioritize and authorize all bed placements. Conduct daily bed briefing meetings with clinical areas.
