Job Description Summary Learning Health System Implementation Science Postdoctoral Position The Biomedical Informatics Center (BMIC) seeks to fill a new postdoctoral position focused on the intersection of health equity and implementation science applied to research occurring within the learning health system. The selected applicant will work closely with Dr. Caitlin G. Allen and other senior mentors to complete implementation research examining interventions being delivered within the Medical University of South Carolina’s learning health system. Research will primarily focus on advancing ongoing precision health research (e.g., genomic medicine interventions, return of secondary findings, population-wide genomic screening, clinical decision support). Under the guidance of our faculty the trainee will develop conduct all elements of the research cycle, including grant writing, designing methods, data collection, analysis, and dissemination. The position will benefit from access to broader training opportunities from the South Carolina Clinical and Translational Research Institute and Dissemination and Implementation Science Collaborative. The position comes with support for travel to scientific meetings and workshops and additional funding available for research training-related expenses.
