WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Schedule surgeries, appointments, tests, and procedures in person or by phone, using Electronic Health Record; coordinates external vendors, multiple physicians, including anesthesia support as required. Coordinate insurance including verification of coverage and obtaining prior authorization as required. Balance the schedule to support the need for elective cases and add on cases daily. Submit the update “truth in scheduling” changes to various departments to ensure accuracy to appropriate times allotted for each case Prepare data, including case information, and provide reports, as required or requested. Assist Nursing units, FPN offices in completing schedule requirements and making corrections or adjusting schedules daily as needed Submits charges for accurate and timely billing, as required. Effectively communicates and coordinates all cases coming and going between patient families, clinical areas, providers, FPN offices and others as needed. Submits the daily on-call schedule.
