Job Description Summary The successful candidate will work with a team of two radiation oncologists, one medical physicist, one other dosimetrist, and seven radiation therapists. The dosimetrists contour normal structures and create treatment plans using conformal, IMRT, and VMAT techniques while working with the physicians and physicists to ensure plans meet target and OAR metrics as prescribed. They also participate in CT simulations and clinical setups on the linacs as needed to ensure patient setups are appropriate for the intended treatment plan. MUSC Health Tidelands Health Radiation Therapy Center is located in Murrells Inlet, SC and is jointly operated by the Medical University of South Carolina out of Charleston, SC and Tidelands Health hospital system. We are a freestanding clinic located across the street from Waccamaw Community Hospital and are affiliated with Hollings Cancer Center, the only NCI designated cancer center in South Carolina. The ACR accredited radiation therapy center is located on the highly desirable Southeast Atlantic coast in the beautiful town of Murrells Inlet. This pleasant and enjoyable area offers a wide variety of restaurants and outdoor activities. Murrells Inlet is located about 30 minutes South of Myrtle Beach and about 2 hours North of historic Charleston. Additional Job Description Must have bachelor’s degree and have graduated from a JRCERT accredited dosimetry program. Must obtain Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) certification within two years of hire.
