POSITION OVERVIEW The Managed Care System Analyst is critical in performing ongoing analysis of all account-based, reimbursement transactions for accuracy. The role also analyzes Facility Managed Care contracts, reconciles to payments received and makes recommendations to prevent future cash losses. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Work with Facility Information Systems and Health Information Management to extract the data necessary to perform ongoing analysis of all account-based, reimbursement transactions for accuracy. Make recommendations to prevent future cash losses. Analyze Facility Managed Care contracts and reconcile to payments received. Contact insurance companies to have adjustments processed if payments are not in accordance with the contract. Identify, analyze and recommend improvement to existing business processes within the department for optimization and quality advancement. Conduct effective negotiation with insurance carriers and those we are privileged to serve. Identify and recapture underpayments from payers that have paid incorrectly.
