Job Description Summary Responsibilities include: Managing the clinical problems of acutely ill, hospitalized patients; providing excellent patient care, performing physical exams, updating patient records and studying medical histories; Providing diagnostic, preventative and therapeutic health services to patients and family members in the hospital; Evaluating and treating patients in consultation as the primary attending physician; Coordinating the hospital’s diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative resources; Following through on cases to ensure effectiveness and alter the course of treatment as indicated; Reviewing and interpreting medical test results; Responding to questions and concerns from patients about their health; Discussing proper nutrition and self-care with patients to promote good health; Working with various medical staff (surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists) to provide patient care.
