A “Day in the Life" of a Regional FP&A Operations Controller: Drive financial health and compliance by partnering with Sales, AR/Collections teams, and field operations to manage past due balances, minimize bad debt write-offs, improve DSO, and enforce adherence to internal controls across A/P, A/R, billing, collections, fixed assets, and GL processes. Oversee and support financial reporting across the region, leading monthly close activities, GL reconciliations, audit reporting, and inventory management while ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial and statistical results. Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring deadlines are met, reviews are thorough, and financial plans are complete and aligned with business goals; communicate objectives clearly across operational teams. Analyze and report on financial performance, providing variance analysis and insights to drive strategic decisions and operational improvements across individual business units and the broader region. Support franchise compliance through regular agreement reviews, monthly reconciliations of accrued vs. paid amounts, and preparation of external audit workpapers to ensure process adherence. Coach and collaborate with operational leaders, mentoring general managers and support staff to strengthen financial acumen, connect operational decisions to financial outcomes, and ensure ongoing compliance with financial processes and controls. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business from a four-year accredited institution, with 10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance. Strong leadership background with a proven ability to develop teams and drive results in dynamic, high-growth environments. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with a consistent track record of delivering accurate insights and effective solutions. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders and influence cross-functional teams. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; industry experience in waste management is a plus but not required. We thank you for your interest.
