The Roll-Off Driver will be responsible for safely, efficiently, and courteously providing waste removal services to customers across multiple lines of businesses. Paid time off Competitive wages Boot allowance Growth opportunities What you'll do: Operate roll-off trucks and ancillary equipment to collect waste, adhering to prescribed techniques to prevent driver-induced mechanical issues and maintaining vehicle cleanliness inside and out. - Complete required documentation daily, including pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections, truck reports, route sheets, and any additional reports requested by the supervisor. Report vehicle mechanical problems, accidents, incidents, or potential hazards immediately. - Follow all safety standards and regulations, including federal, state/provincial, local, company, and customer-specific rules. Always wear required personal protective equipment such as gloves, reflective vests, safety glasses, and work boots. - Maintain route quality standards as set by management, communicate hazards to the supervisor, and work to improve routing efficiencies in collaboration with the supervisor. - Exhibit professionalism in demeanor, appearance, and communication when interacting with customers, the public, or while in uniform. Attend safety and branch meetings and keep accurate records of services performed. What's required: • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) desired. • Possess valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). • Minimum one (1) years of commercial driving experience OR CDL school certificate • Must be able to meet relevant criteria for safety sensitive functions according to Company standards What you'll need to know: - Proficient in operating any vehicle or equipment required to perform the job, as well as communicating effectively in writing and verbally. - Capable of performing basic mathematical calculations and applying them to job tasks, including writing and managing reports such as pre- and post-trip inspections, accident reports, and daily paperwork. - Ability to read and understand simple correspondence, instructions, company policies, and procedures, with a focus on comprehension and application. - Demonstrates common-sense reasoning to follow written and oral instructions, solve general problems, and work independently with limited supervision. Where you'll be: - Frequently exposed to loud noise, extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, humid, rainy, or stormy depending on the season), moving mechanical parts, vibrations, toxic chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, and occasionally high, precarious places. - Routinely works outdoors (up to 100% of the time) in loud environments, motor vehicle traffic, and away from branch locations throughout the day.
