Fund Administrator – Public Company Investment Fund for Privately-held Secondaries Accounting and Administration (Mostly Remote) $85-115K

Palo Alto, California (remote – must be based in the SF Bay area)

Reports to the Chief Financial Officer / Chief Investment Officer

New Closed-end Fund $100-200M AUM in Exciting New Industry

This position will be working with an established set of outside vendor / partners in our US office, who provide fund administration, audit, custodian, legal and NAV valuation services for the world’s first, publicly-traded, closed-end fund investing in secondaries for privately-held companies in digital asset services and technology companies. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated candidate to make a significant impact in a pathfinding new fund.

What you'll be doing

  • Responsible for overseeing the Fund Administrator’s recording of all activity for a portfolio of secondaries
  • Reviewing financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
  • Executing legal transactions with counsel for acquisition of secondaries.
  • Liaising with administrator accountants, auditors, custodians, and tax preparers and responding to requests for information
  • Managing Monthly and Quarterly reporting
  • Review of monthly and quarterly Net Asset Valuation (NAV) reports.
  • Preparation of investor reporting including calculations of investor and fund performance

What we're looking for

  • CPA and Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Investran or similar advanced software systems experience is preferred
  • Private Equity or Venture Capital fund management experience is preferred
  • 5-7 years previous experience in Fund Accounting or Auditing, ideally in the secondaries funds sector (either in-house with a fund manager or a fund administrator)
  • Sound technical knowledge of US GAAP and reporting required for the funds sectors
  • Managerial experience and growth potential
  • Interest in new markets in general and digital assets in particular
  • Experience in 1940 Act companies either open or closed-end funds preferable but not mandatory
  • Good interpersonal skills are required to develop close working relationships with colleagues, clients and business contacts nationally and internationally
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Salary : $85,000 - $115,000
