About the Position
This is an exciting opportunity to join C2 Collaborative as a Job Captain, playing a vital role in the successful execution of projects.
Main Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers to facilitate seamless project coordination across all stages, from initial design to construction completion.
- Consultant Collaboration: Work closely with external consultants to integrate their expertise effectively into project design.
- Research and Compliance: Conduct thorough research on project requirements, zoning regulations, and other relevant codes to ensure compliance with governing agencies' guidelines.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in technical skills, including AutoCAD and other relevant software, to create accurate and detailed project documentation.
- Mentorship and Training: Support the growth of junior team members by providing mentorship and training in various project tasks.
- Construction Document Preparation: Contribute to the preparation of comprehensive construction document packages, ensuring all necessary details are included.
- Client and Consultant Interaction: Act as a point of contact for clients and consultants, facilitating effective communication and resolving project-related queries.
- Quality Control: Ensure the quality and accuracy of project deliverables, adhering to the firm's standards and best practices.
- Project Ownership: Take ownership of assigned projects, working under the guidance of the project manager or higher-ups to meet project milestones and deadlines.
- Construction Observation: Participate in construction observation activities, gaining valuable insights into project implementation and addressing on-site challenges.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture, graphic design, architecture, or a related field.
- Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, and Microsoft Office.
- 3-5 years of experience in producing conceptual/schematic design presentations and documentation sets.
- Strong verbal and visual communication skills.
- High capacity to learn new tools and emerging technologies.
- Ability to be creative and technical with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Initiative and self-directed.
