What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL A Driver/ Mechanic position at C2 Vehicles?
C2 Vehicles, New England’s leading golf car distributor, is looking for an experienced Class A or Class B driver to deliver golf cars and utility vehicles out of our Clinton, CT dealership. This vital year-round position will be running a 10-car trailer for deliveries throughout New England.
The right candidate will also have mechanical/service experience and open to performing service and prep work on golf cars and utility vehicles when not delivering. Delivery driver will be assigned, at times, light mechanical work, fueling rentals, and detailing vehicles before delivery as needed. Ideal candidate will embrace a team attitude and willingness to help with other tasks when needed in order to meet delivery deadlines.

Ideal candidate should have:
- At least 2 years of experience in driving class B or Class A truck and trailer.
- Proficiency in DOT regulations, safety, and vehicle logs.
- Neat and professional appearance.
- Professional demeanor and focus on customer service before, during, and after deliveries.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Clean driving record is a must.
- Mechanical skills.
- A High School diploma at minimum.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Daily duties can/will consist of:
- Driving delivery truck and trailer that can transport up to 10 golf cars or utility vehicles.
- Loading and unloading truck and trailer- both at the branch prior to delivery and at customer locations.
- Maintain vehicle logs, pre- delivery, and post-delivery inspections.
- Maintaining clear and legible delivery documents- both from deliveries and customer pick ups.
- Identifying preventative maintenance on both the truck and trailer and communicating issues timely to eliminate vehicle down time.
- Knowledge of and compliance with all applicable DOT regulations.
- Engaging customers during deliveries.
- Assist C2 team members at times with cleaning or prepping cars for delivery.
