Position Purpose
The HR Manager is responsible for ensuring that C3 has an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes individual and team empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the ongoing development and retention of employees. The HR Manager is responsible for all aspects of the employee lifecycle, which includes overseeing talent management and recruiting, performance management, process development/improvement, training and development, organizational effectiveness, compensation and benefits, and the overall administration and continuous improvement of Human Resources and Organizational Development policies, procedures, and programs.
Key Accountabilities for this Position
- Establishes and implements human resources efforts that effectively communicate and support C³’s mission and strategic initiatives
- Processes bi-weekly payroll for all C³ employees - This task is cross-trained with finance and accounting for back-up purposes
- Establishes employee practices that position C3 as a career destination and employer of choice
- Functions as a strategic business advisor to the C3 leadership team regarding key organizational and management issues
- Provide daily hands-on human resources expertise to the business in the areas of employee relations, recruiting and on-boarding, employee development, training, compensation, organizational development and more, provide backup HR business support to other businesses locally as required
- Lead the review, maintenance, and communication of HR policies and procedures in compliance with state and federal law
- Succession planning to ensure appropriate pipeline of talent to meet future needs
- Develops and implements a comprehensive compensation and benefit plan that provides equity for employees and competitive, cost-effective solutions for C3
- Leads or sponsors cross-functional projects which address continuous improvement activities
Experience & Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or related field required, PHR certification preferred
- 3-5 years of progressive human resource leadership experience with demonstrated ability to lead and influence others without direct authority
- Experience and focus on proactively identifying trends, risks and opportunities and providing suggestions for improvements
- Strong business acumen with experience leveraging HR processes, tools and data to accelerate business results
- Strong change management experience, problem solving skills and the ability to be flexible and adaptable
