What You ll Do
- Client-Facing Support: Deliver top-tier customer service, both on-site and remotely, becoming the go-to resource for IT questions.
- Project & Ticket Ownership: Manage support tickets and projects end-to-end, ensuring quality and timeliness.
- Mentorship: Guide L1 engineers, improving their technical skills and confidence.
- Solutions & Strategy: Collaborate with the Service Manager and Project Manager to design and implement modern, secure cloud solutions using Office 365, Azure, SharePoint, and more.
- Domain-to-Azure AD Migrations (Entra ID): Lead and support projects that convert clients from traditional Windows Server domains to Azure AD (Entra ID) environments.
- Proactive Problem-Solving: Identify recurring issues, plan remediation, and propose technology modernizations.
- Security Focus: Maintain a strong security posture in all client environments by recommending best practices and implementing tools to safeguard systems.
Technical Requirements
You ll stand out if you have experience in:
- Office 365 & Azure Management
- Administration and maintenance of Office 365 (M365), including Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Deep familiarity with Azure services, including Azure AD (Entra ID) for user provisioning, identity management, and security.
- Handling migrations from on-premises Active Directory to Azure AD (domain-to-cloud conversions).
- Windows & Server Systems
- Proficiency in Windows 10, Windows 11.
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, 2019, 2022 and 2025
- Management of Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and user account provisioning.
- Networking & Security
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs).
- Strong understanding of security best practices, including MFA, endpoint protection, and zero-trust principles.
- Comfort configuring and troubleshooting network devices to maintain a secure environment.
- Tools & Platforms
- Familiarity with a ticketing system (Autotask is a plus).
- Experience with remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools.
- Knowledge of AWS or Google Cloud is a plus, but not required.
- Additional Background
- 4 years in a client-facing IT role, preferably with MSP, in-house IT experience, or experience as a solo consultant.
- Relevant technical certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, etc.) are a plus.
- Project management skills, especially around cloud migrations and new technology rollouts.
Systems & Software You ll Work With
- Cloud Services: Office 365, Azure, Intune
- Cloud Migrations: Moving from traditional servers to SharePoint/OneDrive or from Google Drive to Office 365
- Networking: SonicWall, Ubiquiti UniFi, VLANs, SD-WAN
- Ticketing & Monitoring: Datto Autotask, Ninja RMM
- Documentation: IT Glue
- System Administration: Hyper-V, Azure, AWS (entry-level exposure is a plus!)
Expectations for Success
- Maintain an average of 6 billable hours per day.
- Serve as a role model for exceptional service and adherence to company policies.
- Complete assigned projects on time and ensure clients are satisfied with results.
- Identify training needs for L1 engineers and help drive their growth.
- Consistently research and recommend new security and cloud technologies to keep our clients modern and safe.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Rate: $32 $40 per hour (Depending on experience)
