C3E InnoveX is seeking an IT Asset Management Lead to oversee IT asset tracking, lifecycle management, and compliance for Air Force Contract. The Asset Management Lead will ensure the accurate inventory, tracking, and accountability of all government IT assets in compliance with DoD, Air Force, and Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) policies.
As the IT Asset Management Lead, you will be responsible for maintaining a comprehensive IT asset inventory, implementing tracking controls, and ensuring compliance with Air Force asset management standards (DAFMAN 17-1203). You will also coordinate asset transfers, disposal, and audits, ensuring full accountability and zero compliance discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities
IT Asset Lifecycle Management
- Maintain a comprehensive and accurate inventory of all government-owned IT assets (hardware, software, peripherals).
- Track IT asset acquisition, deployment, transfers, and decommissioning to ensure full accountability.
- Ensure compliance with DoD/AF IT asset management policies (DAFMAN 17-1203, DPAS, BECO requirements).
Asset Tracking & Compliance
- Oversee Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) data entry, tracking, and reporting.
- Ensure all IT assets are properly tagged, logged, and reconciled with government databases.
- Conduct regular asset audits and physical inventory checks to validate data accuracy.
- Develop and enforce IT asset management policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices.
IT Asset Transfers & Disposals
- Coordinate property transfers, excess equipment removal, and proper disposal of outdated assets.
- Ensure decommissioned IT assets meet AFSSI 8580 data sanitization requirements.
- Support Base Equipment Control Officers (BECOs) in managing property accountability.
Software License & Configuration Management
- Oversee DoD software license tracking, renewal, and compliance in accordance with Air Force software policies.
- Ensure software license agreements align with Air Force-approved applications and procurement guidelines.
- Work with IT system administrators to maintain configuration control and software inventory accuracy.
Incident Response & Risk Mitigation
- Investigate and resolve IT asset discrepancies, missing inventory issues, and accountability gaps.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance tracking, reduce loss risk, and optimize lifecycle planning.
Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement
- Provide asset management to leadership, Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), and government auditors.
- Support DoD and Air Force IT asset compliance audits and reviews.
- Train and oversee IT asset support staff, ensuring adherence to asset management policies.
Required Qualifications
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Logistics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Certifications:
- Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP) – Required
- Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) – Required
- ITIL v4 Foundation (Preferred)
- Experience:
- 5 years managing IT asset tracking, lifecycle management, and property accountability for DoD contracts.
- Experience with Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), BECO reporting, and Air Force IT asset policies.
- Strong understanding of DAFMAN 17-1203, DoD procurement regulations, and asset tracking software.
- Experience coordinating IT asset disposal, data sanitization, and excess equipment transfers in compliance with AFSSI 8580.
Security Clearance:Active Secret clearance (Required).Preferred Qualifications
✔Prior experience supporting Air Force IT asset management contracts.
✔Hands-on experience with Remedy, DPAS, and DoD IT asset tracking tools.
✔Knowledge of Air Force IT procurement and supply chain processes.
✔ Familiarity with DoD software license tracking & configuration management best practices.
