The Senior Software/Testing Engineer work hands-on with developers, database, and systems administrators to integrate and validate our solutions and products for our government customer. Key responsibilities are to deliver technical design and technical integration testing services, deliver integration prototypes and proof of concepts. The Senior Software/Testing Engineer is also responsible for driving solutions that meet the customers' technical, financial and business requirements, and supporting a legacy system in the process of being modernized to be hosted in the cloud utilizing DevSecOps processes.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs application software.
• Conducts analysis and collaborates with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for information storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting. End product may be special use, customized, or commercial software.
• Analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops autonomous services, desktop applications, web applications, scripts, and utility programs.
• Determines computer user needs and develops test strategies to fulfill the validation needed to ensure those needs are met.
• Work in a team environment to deliver technical design, implementations and documentation for integration projects associated with the application integrations.
• Deliver high-quality software within estimated timelines derived from accurate and qualified work estimates and plans for development and/or testing.
• Meet with development team members and customers to understand business and technical requirements of these integration projects, document findings, to resolve issues and provide education when required.
• Report progress, activities and status on projects liaise with service partners who are leveraged to deliver technical implementations in close collaboration with the integration team.
• Maintain and develop knowledge of architecture/design technologies, integration testing strategies and future industry trends.
• Ensures software standards are met.

Qualifications:

• Security Clearance Required
• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
• 6 years or more experience of enterprise or software vendor testing or development
• Knowledge and proficiency in the following technical areas: Web services stacks and technology, SOAPUI, READY API, XML technologies (schema, xpath, xslt), parsing, Windows and Linux OS, shell scripting (bash), Application Servers (Tomcat and/or WebLogic)
• Experience with development methodologies (formal and agile), procedures and technologies especially prototyping, continuous integration, Integration testing, component and services architectures, stepwise implementation and delivery, multiple environments and code-promotion
• Proven ability to contribute in a remote/distributed team environment and deliver under pressure and time constraints, mission-critical 24x7 applications or services
• Experience with integration middleware and common messaging and integration technologies and techniques would be highly advantageous
• Knowledge and experience in the supply chain and national defense industry, a plus
• Enthusiasm and commitment to complete projects and meet milestones by overcoming obstacles and finding a path to success
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical, trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
• Customer orientation and customer relationship experience and skills
• Knowledge of interfaces and messaging solutions a plus
• Exceptional commitment and discipline to quality, continuous testing, best practices, standard practices and patterns experience - experience with ISO certifications a plus
• Good communication skills: ability to present and articulate thoughts and ideas and ability to document work and design artifacts in diagrams
• Familiarity with utilizing a developer pipeline to deploy in a cloud environment a plus.
• Strong desire to learn new things, to solve problems and continuing education

Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
