C5T is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to assume a key leadership position within a large team supporting mission-critical capabilities for our clients. This team is responsible for providing Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) support, IT security, administration, and expertise for the Global Transportation Planning (GTP), Groups Operational Passenger (GOPAX), and Voyage Calculator (VC) systems. The primary customer for this program is the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM), with headquarters located on Scott AFB.
The ideal candidate will leverage their strong leadership and communication skills, along with extensive knowledge and experience to maintain and optimize development, testing, and production system environments, monitor system health, resolve performance issues, and ensure the security and reliability of the GTP / GOPAX systems.
This position is onsite at Scott AFB, IL.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Manage system administration tasks, including configuring and maintaining both client and server computer systems
- Oversee installation and maintenance of web servers, database systems, and applications
- Accomplish system and network planning, configuration, and maintenance
- Perform capacity management, including tracking and reporting resources
- Administer network and / or system security measures.
- Perform regular installation, testing, and configuration management for all patches and updates, including tracking all bug reports, security advisories and information assurance vulnerability alerts (IAVMs)
- Collaborate with team members to maintain system stability, security, and compliance with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) standards
- Monitor systems and perform necessary maintenance to ensure availability and correct operation for all system users.
- Perform system modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between systems and data communications hardware and software.
- Review logs for anomalous system and security events in accordance with audit and logging policies
- Implement changes to development and production environments, software baselines, network, databases, etc.
- Manage and perform system backup and disaster recovery. Perform system or component restorations as needed
- Provision and configure virtual workstation and server images; provision collections of virtual servers on demand (manual and auto provisioning)
- Create and maintain system documentation
- Manage required system hardware and software using approved GFE tools and processes
- Provide occasional after-hours and weekend support (Participates in on call rotation).
