Job Overview
Under the general direction of the Deputy Commissioner, Climate and Sustainability Branch, the Research Data Specialist I (RDS I) position will report to the Deputy Commissioner, and will focus on developing data analysis approaches, comparing risk mitigation and modeling information, and prioritizing policies that reduce climate risks, including those related to wildfire, extreme heat, and flooding events.
Duties
- In this role, you'll independently research and evaluate mitigation strategies, develop analytical models assessing climate risks, and create clear visual reports informing statewide resilience policies. Your work will directly influence decisions on insurance availability, risk management, and community preparedness throughout California.

Pay: $6,752.00 - $8,452.00 per month
