The California Lottery's Financial Statements & Game Accounting (FS&GA) unit is seeking an Associate Accounting Analyst to join the team. If you are organize, hard-working, and the desire to be a part of supporting public education in California, FS&GA wants you!

Under the direction of the Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor), the Associate Accounting Analyst will independently perform analytical, technical, and advisory duties required to maintain and enhance the Scratchers game accounting and gaming systems, data, and reports. The individual will analyze and interpret fiscal data to assist in the preparation of the financial statements in conformance with both generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and legal basis. Additionally, the individual will identify business process problems and potential solutions and will participate in decision-making sessions related to financial reporting and will act as a technical specialist on Scratchers game accounting.

This position is headquartered at the Sacramento Headquarters location and is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule. Employees must be able to report to their assigned headquarters office as assigned. Travel expense to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee. Eligibility for telework requires the employee to reside in California per California Government Code Section 14200 which states: “telecommuting means the partial or total substitution of computers or telecommunication technologies, or both, for the commute to work by employees residing in California.
