Budgets Unit Research Data Analyst I (Limited-Term) positions perform key roles to automate data flows and system outputs in formatting templates to support construction of the annual fiscal year budget and various internal and external reports for control agencies including formulating data to assist with preparing expense reports and performs a variety of research, analytical, and technical tasks to support the Finance Division’s initiatives by measuring budget allocation and utilization to optimize financial resources and identify the best uses for limited Lottery fiscal year funding.

This position is headquartered at the Sacramento HQ Location and is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule. Employees must be able to report to their assigned headquarters office as assigned. Travel expense to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee. Eligibility for telework requires the employee to reside in California per California Government Code Section 14200 which states: “telecommuting means the partial or total substitution of computers or telecommunication technologies, or both, for the commute to work by employees residing in California.

Working Conditions

Remote-centered position with occasional operational need to report to HQ for in-person collaboration with staff or contractors or to manage physical files or reports.

The RDA I may serve as back-up to the analysts in the event of an operational need for office coverage.
