Under the general supervision of a Materials & Stores Supervisor II (M&SS-II), the Materials and Stores Supervisor I (M&SS-I) is responsible for the operation of the Facility Canteen - receipt, storage, issuance and sales of a volume of various supplies. This position also includes redirection to provide coverage for any of the six satellite Canteen rooms and Canteen as needed during the absence of assigned staff as directed by the Canteen Materials & Stores Supervisor II and Prison Canteen Manager II.

Working Conditions
This position is located at the California State Prison in Corcoran CA, which is accessibly located right off Highway 43. Conveniently located one hour from Lemoore Naval Air Station and Sequoias National Park. Two hours from Yosemite National Park and Pismo Beach.

Knowledge of: Modern warehousing methods and practices, including the keeping of receiving, shipping, and inventory records; freight rates and classifications; Office of Procurement specifications; regulations involved with consolidated freight shipments, stock array systems; freight claim procedure; operation of motorized material handling equipment; inventory and quality control.
