Wash Bay Prep / Finisher – CAB Construction
Overview
This is an entry level position and is responsible for cleaning and prepping product surfaces for paint and other finishes as required at CAB using common application techniques and products.
Work Activities: key tasks and responsibilities
· Responsible for preparing product surfaces for paint and other finishes as required.
· Plans the set up and flow of products through his / her area in a timely manner.
· Reviews shop orders to determine job specifications and requirements.
· Determines if the product is acceptable to be finished or if it requires a review prior to finish being applied.
· Must be familiar with hazardous materials and the safety requirements to work with and dispose of according to regulations and company policy.
· Must be able to obtain forklift certification through CAB within first week of hire.
· Needs to maintain production levels at all times and able to work independent of direct supervision in a team environment.
· Must be able to respond quickly and smoothly to production and customer needs understanding changes to the schedule dictate the work performed.
· Must pass and maintain ability to wear appropriate PPE and monitoring requirements.
· Test and inspect products, services, or processes. Evaluate quality or performance.
· Determine the tools and equipment needed to do a job.
· Maintain equipment on a routine basis.

· Assist or perform repair of machines or systems.
Job Requirements
Education
High school diploma or GED required
Experience
Prior painting in either and automotive or industrial setting is desired.
Welding skills a plus, but not necessary.
Hours
Forty hour work week.
This position is an hourly position.
Occasional overtime, especially when working with customer or production deadlines.
· This is a safety sensitive position due to handling heavy material and operating forklifts. This could cause harm to yourself or others.
Salary : $20
