Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Operate the espresso machine and other café equipment efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including the café counter and equipment.
- Take customer orders accurately, handle cash transactions, and operate the cash register or POS system.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, answering questions, and making recommendations.
- Assist with food preparation, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies and communicate needs to management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Skills
- Strong math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Experience in food service, including knowledge of food safety practices.
- Proficient in food preparation and handling techniques.
- Familiarity with cash registers or POS systems; experience with Aloha POS is a plus.
- Excellent sales skills to promote café products effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members positively.
