About the Job
As a Phlebotomist at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center, you will play a vital role in our Laboratory Department. Your responsibilities will include performing venipuncture and related procedures, accurately ordering and canceling tests, and verifying patient identification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection on neonates through geriatric populations.
- Collect and process blood samples for testing.
- Maintain accurate records and reports.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain certification and stay current with industry developments.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical assistant or phlebotomy certification preferred.
- One year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
