Job Description
Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is looking for a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist to join our Laboratory Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and protocols, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection on neonates through geriatric populations.
- Accurately order and cancel tests in the Meditech LIS system.
- Verify patient identification prior to collection and label patient specimens correctly.
- Answer telephone calls promptly and courteously, delivering clear and accurate phone messages.
- Assist and respond to trauma events and post-mortem examination.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Medical assistant or phlebotomy certification preferred.
- One year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
