PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Responsible for machine set-up both manual and computer-driven.•Maintain quality production and safety standards.
- Maintain high level of quality production by working to tolerance specifications of 0.50 millimeters.
- Troubleshoot problems and make appropriate adjustments in order to recover as quickly as possible from mechanical failures.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machines.
•Review production schedules and related information and confer with supervision to determine material requirements, identify overdue orders and to track material/orders.•Monitor status of all past due orders.
- Assist in the training of temporary/new employees.
- Arrange in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules.
- Enter/scan data into RS6000 system.
- Compile and maintain manual or computerized records such as material inventory, in-process production reports, and status and location of materials. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- One year of production experience or similar in an assembly, carpentry or detail-oriented environment is preferred
- Two to three years of work experience
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Must have a good overall work record, including a satisfactory attendance record; and be self-motivated.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and use calipers.
- General computer and mathematical skills required along with good communication skills.
- Must demonstrate a commitment to safety at all times.
- Ability to work in a team environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged standing and repetitive motions, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling
- May be required to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
- Hand dexterity and strength
- Overtime is required, including weekends
- May be required to work a flexible schedule
