The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

Maintenance Technician Job Description
The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.
Principal Functional Responsibilities
- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- 2-3 years’ experience with transformer connections, basic PLC understanding, electrical over air operations
- Ladder logic, Ability to trouble shoot control wiring, layout multiple conduit runs, size wire/switch gear
- Understand motor connections
- Complete work with accuracy and efficiency
- Adhere to all facets of safety policies and procedures
- Repair production equipment, plant equipment, and related systems
- Use machine tools and hand tools working with a variety of material
- Analyze malfunctioning machines and systems (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical, etc.) Recommend corrective action and makes repairs or modification as necessary
- Maintain a working understanding of plant production processes, equipment, systems, and facilities in order to perform maintenance effectively
- Works in cooperation with engineering, technical, production or outside contractors, as directed
- Use pat practices, data tables, technical reference to determine machine specs, materials, sizes and other working data
- Get required tools equipment and instruments; clean up and store as necessary
- Able to understand instructions whether they are written or verbal and follow said instructions.
- Software experience with PLC and Servo Drives a plus but not required
- Strong Industrial Maintenance Background
- Mechanic history of at least 2-5 years
- Experienced/self-sufficient in Electrical Maintenance and Mechanical Maintenance
- Electrical PM’s and troubleshooting
- Prolonged standing
- May be required to frequently lift up to 40-50 lbs.
- Overtime is required, including some weekends
- May be required to work a flexible schedule
