Principal Functional Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and testing of automated systems for cabinet manufacturing processes, including CNC machines, robotic arms, and conveyor systems.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to develop solutions that improve production efficiency and product quality through automation.
- Help troubleshoot and maintain automated systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Support the creation and modification of engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Work closely with the quality control team to ensure that automation solutions meet safety and compliance standards.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings and provide input on ongoing projects and initiatives.
- Conduct research on the latest automation technologies and tools relevant to the cabinetry industry.
- Assist in implementing lean manufacturing principles to streamline workflows and reduce waste.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, with an interest in automation and robotics.
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and engineering design principles.
- Experience or coursework in automation technologies, including PLC programming, robotics, or CNC systems, is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Proactive, eager to learn, and capable of taking initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts and process optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with industrial automation software (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or other PLC programming languages).
- Hands-on experience in real-world manufacturing projects.
- Mentorship from experienced engineers and industry professionals.
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization.
