Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Laminator position involves taking a raw board and adhering lamination, which becomes a finished board.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Completes assigned work in accordance with Cabinetworks Operating System (COS) priorities of safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Must be able to read, understand and display competencies that are driven by plant Standard Work Instructions (SWI).
- Responsible for the machine settings on the infeed, laminator, and outfeed. Raw board is loaded into laminator infeed. Raw board travels through the laminator. Finished board travels to the outfeed. Board is off loaded by a forklift operator.
- Perform all quality tests at the outfeed for the PCPs.
- Performs housekeeping and operator preventative maintenance duties to maintain a clean, safe operational and organized work environment, in accordance with plant 6S program.
- Adhere to all facets of plant policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Knowledge of safe work practices.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to operate various tools.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Mental alertness/Attention to detail.
- Work independently and problem solve with minimal supervision. Ability to multitask on several tasks at once.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged standing, stooping, walking.
- Requires lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling weight up to 50 Lbs.
- Overtime may be required, including some weekends.
- May be required to work a flexible schedule.
