Job Summary:
The Body Shop Parts Associate is responsible for efficiently managing the procurement, inventory, and distribution of automotive parts required specifically for auto body repairs. This role ensures timely availability of parts to support repair operations while maintaining accurate records and fostering strong vendor relationships.
Responsibilities:
-Order, receive, and stock automotive parts exclusively for auto body repairs.
-Ensure all incoming parts are accurate, undamaged, and match body shop repair orders.
-Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts to maintain proper stock levels.
-Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes, place orders, and resolve discrepancies.
-Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and timely deliveries.
-Documentation and Record-Keeping:
-Accurately document all parts transactions, including receiving, returns, and backorders.
-Update and maintain inventory records in the dealership management system.
-Work closely with body shop technicians and estimators to ensure correct parts are available for scheduled repairs.
-Communicate order statuses and delays promptly to minimize downtime.
-Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
-Address and resolve any part-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications:
-Previous experience in automotive parts management or a similar role preferred.
-Strong organizational and time management skills.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
-Proficiency in dealership management software or inventory management systems.
-Valid driver's license
