As an Automotive Service Technician at Cable Dahmer Automotive Group, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle inspections, basic diagnostics, and general repairs with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Maintain, repair, and replace parts for various vehicle systems including brakes, exhaust, suspension, and engine components.
- Utilize both pneumatic and hand tools for efficient service delivery.
- Perform oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and other routine maintenance services.
- Communicate with service advisors and customers about vehicle status, repairs, and additional services required.
- Follow manufacturer procedures and best practices to complete repairs accurately and to the highest standards.
- Work with diagnostic tools to troubleshoot vehicle issues and determine the best course of action for repair.
- Maintain an organized and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members and mentors to ensure efficient repair turnaround times and high-quality results.
- Stay up to date on automotive technologies and participate in ongoing training to advance technical skills.
- Apprentices: Basic knowledge of pneumatic and hand tools, familiarity with quick lube services, and experience with light mechanical work. We’re eager to help you develop into a master technician.
- GM Master Technicians: Must possess a minimum of 3 full GM categorical gold certifications (out of 11 categories).
- GM World-Class Technicians: Must have gold-level certifications in 10 out of the 11 GM categories, showcasing expertise in multiple vehicle systems and repairs.
- Experience in diagnosing and repairing various automotive systems (engines, brakes, electrical, HVAC, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications are a plus.
- Willingness to continue learning and earning additional certifications.
