Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the traffic control crew on active job sites
- Develop and implement safe and effective traffic control plans in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Set up and dismantle traffic control zones, including signage, cones, and flagging operations
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, utility crews, subcontractors, and public authorities
- Conduct daily safety briefings and enforce compliance with safety standards
- Maintain traffic control equipment and inventory; report damages or replacements needed
- Respond promptly to changing site conditions and update traffic plans accordingly
- Train new crew members in proper traffic control procedures and safety protocols
- Complete and submit accurate daily reports and documentation related to job progress, incidents, and compliance
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in traffic control, with at least 1–2 years in a foreman or supervisory role
- Proven experience supporting telecommunications utility construction projects
- Valid flagger certification (ATSSA or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of MUTCD standards and state/local traffic control requirements
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment under various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required
- Must be willing to travel throughout the Metro Atlanta area daily and occasionally work out of town in surrounding states as project needs arise
- OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification
- Experience with aerial and underground telecom utility work zones
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
