What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Manager position at CableCom?
CableCom is in search of a Manager for our Telecom department in our Sacramento, California location. This position reports directly to the Sr. Operations Manager for our Sacramento location. Preferred candidates will have at least 5 years of experience to overseeing, directing, and managing project workloads.
Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000 per year
Responsibilities:
- Support Project Management in underground and aerial utility construction.
- Lead, manage, develop, and instill a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Build internal, client, sub-contractor and vendor relations and partnerships.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Company/Industry specifications.
- Act as a safety advocate, ensuring that all employees are working safely and productively.
- Requisition, assign and track materials needed for the daily operations.
- Perform audits to ensure work is being completed safely and per specifications.
- Resolve complaints with property owners in areas where our personnel are working.
- Review daily production reports, material usage, work hours, complete and maintain accurate "as-built maps" for areas built.
- Daily reconciliation of all issued parts and materials.
- Willingness to work shifts as assigned, including necessary overtime.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5 years’ experience in project management & leading large teams.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must have strong project management skills.
- Capable of working in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions.
- Able to perform the physical tasks required in this position for the entire assigned shift.
- Standing - 6 to 8 hours daily
- Walking - 4 to 6 hours daily
- Climbing - 0 to 2 hours daily
- Driving - 0-4 hours daily
- Bending/Twisting - 0 to 2 hours daily
- Pushing/Pulling - 0 to 2 hours daily

- Lifting (weights up to 100 lbs.) - rarely
- Lift & Carry (weights of 50 to 60 lbs.) – occasionally
