What you’ll do as a Fiber Manager
- Manage, train, and develop a team of fiber splicers and supervisors.
- Control/oversee the work of supervisors and splicing teams.
- Be able to perform any necessary equipment installation.
- Perform quality control inspections by reviewing work completed by employees and or sub-contractors.
- Maintain and enforce company, federal and state rules and regulations, such as non-discriminatory practices, payroll and overtime guidelines, etc.
- Administer appropriate corrective disciplinary actions and prepare supporting documentation to address employee performance and/or behavioral issues.
- Supervise all operations to ensure that all splicing projects are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications. This includes ensuring that all needed tools and equipment are available at the jobsite, working from engineered blueprints, and keeping track of production.
- Resolve complaints with property owners in areas that you’re working. (Talk to residents & explain what it is we are doing).
- Fill-out daily production reports, mark-up maps, keep track of work hours, complete "as-built maps" for areas built.
- Reconcile all issued parts and materials on a daily basis to ensure accurate material usage counts.
- Provide verifiable evidence of experience in CATV construction field and prior supervisory experience in construction or related field.
- Maintain and enforce company, federal and state rules and regulations, such as non-discriminatory practices, payroll and overtime guidelines, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
What you’ll need
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- Experienced in the cable installation field or in the telecommunications industry.
- Management / supervisory experience.
- Possess a valid driver’s license (class "C" minimum) or be eligible and willing to obtain the required license for the position (possibly class "B" - light commercial).
Physical abilities & exposures

Routinely: Standing - 2 to 4 hours daily, Walking - 2 to 4 hours daily, Sitting - 2-4 hours daily, Lift & Carry (weights of 50 to 60 lbs.), Driving - 2-4 hours daily. Capable of working in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions.
Salary Range $110,000 - $130,000 per year
