What you’ll do as a Drill Bore Operator
  • Safely operate drill equipment on jobsite which may include but not limited to the following: Directional Drill and Vacuum Truck/Trailer
  • Restore and/or landscape disturbed areas of the jobsite
  • Develop and maintain a bore schedule
  • Be responsible for the site set-up and clean-up
  • Load and unload tools, materials and equipment on truck
  • Be involved in new site Job Safety Analysis (JSA) prior to starting construction
  • Set up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers and at times flagging traffic

What you’ll need
  • To be at least 18 years old
  • To be authorized to work in the United States for this company
  • A valid standard Driver's License or a Class A Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card.
  • A Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) record that is deemed acceptable by the company
  • Ability to maintain a safe work environment
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed with or without assistance
  • Ability to work over-time; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies or on-call
  • Experienced with drilling equipment and understand their capabilities and limitations
  • Ability to proficiently use locators to safely identify utilities
  • Experience with drill set up and design processes preferred
  • Ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules and operating instructions
  • Ability to climb up and down ladders, machinery, and other objects
  • You may have previous construction or utility construction experience
  • Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include but are not limited to: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus potentially near and/or far as needed. Employees in this job classification may be exposed to dust, fumes or other airborne pathogens
  • Employees may be exposed to toxic or corrosive chemicals as well as moving machinery parts and pieces. Remote work may be required; long driving and sitting will be required. The noise level in the work environment for this position is moderate
