The Learning Solutions Specialist position resides in the Industry Solutions Department at SCTE. This department is responsible for connecting broadband operators, vendors, and industry stakeholders with workforce development programs, technical training, and professional development opportunities, including TechExpo, Leadership Institutes, and SCTE’s learning initiatives. Additionally, the department enhances industry presence by facilitating opportunities for companies to showcase their expertise, engage with key decision-makers, and contribute to the advancement of broadband technology.

This role combines consultative sales skills with technical understanding of SCTE’s training catalog, including, but not limited to, broadband network technologies, field operations, and engineering certifications. The Learning Solutions Specialist serves as a trusted advisor, helping Members navigate the best learning solutions for their workforce while driving enrollment and engagement with SCTE’s educational programs.
We are looking for someone that is passionate about workforce development and the role of training in advancing industry expertise. A strong communicator and relationship-builder, able to engage members and guide them toward the best training solutions. Organized and data-driven, able to track engagement, identify trends, and contribute insights that improve SCTE’s learning programs.
What You’ll Do
Technical Sales & Member Engagement
- Conduct outreach via email, phone, digital platforms and events to engage existing SCTE Member companies and prospective clients on workforce training and certifications.
- Advise companies on SCTE’s training programs, including broadband network technologies, fiber optics, coaxial networks, DOCSIS, and field operations solutions.
- Understand Member companies’ workforce development needs and recommend appropriate training solutions.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of potential learners, supporting individual enrollments as well as company-wide training initiatives.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to highlight the value of SCTE’s learning programs.
- Support marketing and sales initiatives by following up on leads from campaigns, webinars, and industry events.
Operational & Technical Support
- Maintain accurate records of interactions, leads, and enrollments in CRM tools like Salesforce and/or HubSpot.
- Track engagement and enrollment trends to identify opportunities for increasing training adoption.
- Stay informed about SCTE’s evolving technical training catalog and broadband industry workforce trends to effectively guide Members.
- Prepare reports on outreach activity, training enrollments, and Member engagement outcomes.
- Analyze content, courses, and certifications to provide recommendations for improvements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
What Is a Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (telecommunications, business, education, engineering) or equivalent industry experience.
- 3 years of experience in broadband/telecommunications, workforce training, learning & development, or a related field.
- Technical understanding of broadband network technologies, DOCSIS, fiber/coax networks, and field operations (formal training experience not required).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to conduct professional consultations, presentations, and proposal creation and follow-through.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) for tracking sales and engagement efforts.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to drive results.

- Prior experience in consultative sales, technical sales, or workforce engagement.
- Understanding of adult learning principles and workforce training needs.

Compensation: The salary range is $82,420 - $100,620. This position is eligible for bonus incentive compensation up to 17.5% of base salary.

Working conditions and physical requirements
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. This position is required to travel up to 25% of the time.
