The Payroll Administrator position resides in the Accounting and Finance department at CableLabs. This department is responsible for managing, recording, and reporting all financial transactions within the organization. Our team plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial stability and financial strategy of the organization.

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to oversee and manage all aspects of payroll processing and compliance for our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll systems, tax regulations, and reporting requirements, as well as proven experience working with a large-scale payroll platform.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform the end-to-end Semi-Monthly and off-cycle payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate processing for all employees.
  • Maintain accurate funding of external employee accounts (401k and HSA)
  • Utilize Paycom to manage payroll operations, including data input, system maintenance, auditing and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and company policies.
  • Manage employee records related to payroll, including new hires, terminations, benefits deductions, and tax updates.
  • Generate and review payroll reports to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Manage Garnishments and Child Support Orders
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries and provide excellent support to employees.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure alignment on payroll-related matters such as benefits, compensation, and audits.
  • Lead efforts to streamline payroll processes, implement system enhancements, and ensure data integrity.
  • Stay current on changes in payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Handle year-end processes, including W-2 preparation and reporting. 401k audits and NDT testing

Qualifications

What Is a Must Have:

  • 3 years of payroll processing experience, with at least 1 year using a large-scale payroll platform.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll processing, tax regulations, and labor laws.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Certification such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus.

Compensation: The salary range is $62,660 - $72,700. This position is eligible for bonus incentive compensation up to 15% of base salary.
