The Data Architect Intern resides in the Future Infrastructure Group at CableLabs. This department drives research and development activities focused on future access network technologies and virtualized infrastructure. Our team plays a crucial role in delivering software and infrastructure innovations that benefit the cable industry, with particular emphasis on Network Evolution, Platform Evolution, Reliability & Experience and Differentiated Services.

- How to use OpenAPI to document APIs
- Cloud native architectures
- Hands on experience deploying applications to Kubernetes (OpenShift)
- Agile / DevOps / GitOps practices for development with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD)
What You’ll Do
- Build CI/CD pipelines for generating documentation and deploying applications to Kubernetes (OpenShift)
- Catalog APIs to be used by cable operators to expose network capabilities to application developers
- Enhance and analyze split rendering solution for VR games using cloud based rendering with VR goggle connected over DOCSIS, PON and 5G networks
Qualifications
What Is a Must Have:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in computer science or computer engineering
- Familiar with Linux command line, including using ssh with generating keys
- Experience writing full stack applications using RESTful APIs
- Source code version control with git experience
What Will Set You Apart:
- Familiarity with OpenAPI specifications
- Node.js and Python development experience
- Experience using games in Steam on Windows with a VR headset
- Gitlab experience including CI/CD pipelines
- Experience running containers in Docker and/or Kubernetes
