Insurance Coordinator
Duties:
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility
- Submit insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims
- Review and interpret insurance explanation of benefits (EOBs)
- Coordinate with dental providers to ensure accurate billing and coding
- Resolve any insurance-related issues or discrepancies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient insurance records
- Provide assistance to patients in understanding their insurance coverage and benefits
- Collaborate with the billing department to ensure timely and accurate payment processing
Experience:
- Previous experience is required
- Knowledge of dental insurance plans, policies, and procedures
- Familiarity with dental billing codes (CPT, ICD-10, etc.)
- Proficient in using dental practice management software for insurance processing
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling insurance claims and documentation
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, providers, and insurance companies
