Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and positive Logistics Specialist to join our team at Cabot Citrus Farms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of logistical tasks, including back-up receiving, transporting team members and guests using resort shuttles, managing inventory, organizing freight, and providing general manual labor support. Key Responsibilities
- Transportation of Guests and Team Members: Safely operate resort shuttles to transport guests, staff, and materials to designated areas around the property. Ensure all passengers have a pleasant experience during their ride.
- Back-Up Receiving: Assist in receiving deliveries, unloading freight, and ensuring the accurate and timely distribution of goods. Maintain organization in receiving areas.
- Inventory Control: Support the inventory process by accurately tracking items and ensuring all materials are stored correctly. Assist with stock counts and help with inventory adjustments when needed.
- Manual Labor and Organization: Perform physical tasks such as lifting, organizing, and moving materials across the resort property, ensuring that storage areas remain clean and well-organized.
- Tool Use and Maintenance: Utilize various tools and equipment to help with property maintenance and set-up. Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working condition.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to both guests and team members by maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor, solving issues, and assisting wherever needed.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries while handling freight, driving shuttles, and performing manual labor.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in logistics, operations, or a similar role preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required (for shuttle driving duties).
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Positive, “can-do” attitude with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
