This position is supporting and growing the Cabot Creamery and McCadam brands. This position is based out of Connecticut but includes travel outside of Connecticut. You will be responsible for the maintenance and growth of existing business within 250 retail store location through daily travel, emails, and virtual Microsoft Teams meetings. This role will also focus on the maintenance, development, and expansion of our products throughout but not limited to retail grocers. For you to succeed in this role by having an analytical mindset and can execute organizational initiatives to help drive growth. What you'll be doing :
Retail :
- Management of retail services, including conducting store checks, reviewing stores for out of stocks, providing new product cut-ins, rotation and cleaning of the displays where necessary, and removal of unsellable products.
- Filling shelves in the main dairy / deli case or secondary cooler locations, and any "back stock" that remains will need to be organized within the stores
- Maintaining records of distribution change, pricing, and voids.
- Provision of competitive information at store level such as retail pricing, competitive promotions, new items, discontinued items, and point of sales such as coupons.
- Be Cabot’s representative to the accounts and communicate customer requests and issues internally while developing a solution for the customer.
- Selling against promotional activity.
- Seek out new opportunities for Cabot to drive revenue through new retail accounts.
- Oversee 250 retail stores, combination of independence and corporate accounts. Visit other accounts within the territory as requested.
Administrative Tasks
What we are seeking :
This position requires extensive travel by car in various weather conditions. There will be occasional overnight travel for sales meetings and when needed to attend customer calls and trade shows. You will be visiting a variety of accounts daily getting in and out of the car throughout the day. This position will be required to lift up to 50lbs and be able to pack out shelves.
