Food & Beverage On-Call
Position Overview
The Food & Beverage On-Call will work with the banquet and food and beverage team to provide excellent food and beverage service to guests of any CMP property the event is held at. In addition, the Food & Beverage On-Call will provide service throughout the golf club, including in the restaurant, back of the house, banquets, all halfway house locations and on the beverage cart. The Food & Beverage Server On-Call reports to the MOD of the location and function in which they are reporting that day. This role requires a flexible schedule, including work on nights and weekends.
Essential Functions

- Make the guest feel comfortable and welcome.
- Serve beverages and food, always checking for reorders/refills on beverages.
- Mix and pour cocktails, beer and wine.
- Clear unwanted plates and glassware, present check, and thank the guest for their patronage.
- Represent the golf club in a professional and friendly manner and exhibit pride in the success of the golf course to guests, staff and any other parties.
- Complete banquet duties including but not limited to: polishing silverware, glassware.
- Setting the banquet room, lifting and transporting tables, chairs, dance floor, setting tables for event with linen and table settings.
- Setting and prepping the bar, standard bartender and serving duties.
- Resetting banquet room
- Making sure locker facilities and EDR are clean and free of debris
- Abide by the 60/40 availability policy, when working in banquet function.
- Interact with guests with an upbeat and positive attitude.
- Serve food and beverages with recommendations and upselling.
- Assist other servers on the floor with seating, greeting, and first drink orders if necessary.
- Prepare customer checks and collect payments in accordance with company policy.
- Assist with other restaurant tasks, such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments.
- Present a clean and orderly bar by wiping down bar top, arranging bar stools, shining all stainless, cleaning glassware and display bottles, and other tasks.
- Communicate with all golf club staff to create extraordinary guest experiences.
- Serve on the beverage cart based on business need.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent customer service skills
- 3 years experienced in food & beverage service
- Up-to-date health card
- Up-to-date City TAM card
- Ability to operate point-of-sale system
In addition, the ideal candidate will be or have:
- Previous experience in an upscale bar, country club, or restaurant
- Previous experience in banquet service

Physical Demands
Ability to perform moderate physical work, may be required to lift 100 lbs. occasionally, up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 20 lbs. constantly, performing such activities as bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, lifting, and grasping for up to five hours without sitting
Work Environment
This position operates in a restaurant setting. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee may be exposed to hazards including, but are not limited to, cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns. Frequent hand washing is required.
