Cabrera Capital is seeking a highly skilled, resourceful, and detail-oriented Operations Analyst to play a crucial role in supporting our domestic and international sales and trading operations. This position is vital to ensuring the seamless execution of trade processing, reporting, settlement reconciliations, and counterparty onboarding. The ideal candidate must be proactive, adaptable, and capable of self-directed learning to navigate complex operational challenges. This role requires close collaboration with traders, sales associates, and financial institutions to enhance operational efficiency, resolve critical issues, and maintain rigorous regulatory compliance standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee middle and back-office functions for all financial products.
- Support traders and sales associates in domestic and international equities, SWAPS, municipal bonds, taxable fixed income, and structured products.
- Facilitate trade processing and settlement in various direct settlement international markets.
- Provide operational support outside regular business hours as needed, particularly for international inquiries and trade-related issues.
- Confirm trades daily with multiple banks and brokers to ensure accuracy.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to P&L discrepancies, firm trade positions, complex trade and settlement breaks, payment queries, and trade errors.
- Continuously monitor regulatory developments to identify and mitigate potential risks that could impact the firm and its clients.
- Assist in financial compliance examinations and inquiries from regulatory bodies such as the SEC and FINRA.
- Ensure all transactions always comply with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain written operational procedures, including new clients and foreign broker onboarding protocols.
- Assist in trade reporting submissions and reconciliations for CATS, TRACE, and MSRB.
- Generate and analyze trading and business intelligence reports to support the firm's operational and accounting needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a STEM-related field.
- At least one (1) year of experience in middle/back-office trade operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills.
- Programming experience in Python or another language is highly preferred but not required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external counterparties.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of trade settlement systems, regulatory reporting platforms, and financial market infrastructure.
- Familiarity with industry regulations, including SEC, FINRA, and international compliance requirements.
- Experience with trade reconciliation, operational risk management, and process optimization.
- Self-motivated with a proactive mindset and willingness to take initiative in solving operational challenges.

Compensation:
Salary - $55,000 - $90,000
Bonus - Subjective. Up to 5% or 10%

The salary within the pay range will be based on several factors depending on business or organizational needs.
