Under general supervision, this full-time, twelve (12) months per year, Network Administrator position performs a wide-range of complex network and server administration functions including design, engineering, deployment, administration, maintenance, repair and documentation of the District's LAN/WAN, telecommunication network infrastructure and various wireless networks that ensure highly available, resilient, secure wired and wireless access to staff, students and District visitors;

This position requires:
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in information systems, computer science or a related field; or
- An equivalent combination of training and experience.
The successful candidate will have experience installing, configuring and administering Cisco Systems networking infrastructure. This includes detailed experience specifically with Cisco routers, firewalls, switches, wireless access points, VoIP phone systems, and other ancillary equipment. They will also have hands-on experience securing and monitoring a network to ensure it is secure.
In addition, the candidate should be able to detect threats and respond to intrusions using common security tools and techniques.
