We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to provide support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is ideal for someone with experience in caregiving, home care, or related fields. The Personal Assistant will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by offering both practical and emotional support.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
- Support clients with mobility and physical tasks, including lifting when necessary.
- Help manage household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping.
- Coordinate appointments and transportation for clients as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client’s condition to appropriate parties.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function and well-being, particularly for those with memory care needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients, especially those with developmental disabilities or requiring hospice care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or personal assistance is preferred; familiarity with hospice care or assisted living environments is a plus.
- Ability to cook nutritious meals tailored to client preferences and dietary restrictions.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving.
- Physical ability to lift clients as needed and assist with mobility challenges.
- Knowledge of working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is advantageous.
- Certification in first aid or CPR is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for client appointments and errands.
