What are the responsibilities and job description for the Conference Set Up position at Cacapon Resort State Park?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS:
- To perform as the lead conference setup employee with rotating shifts. Under the supervision of the restaurant manager, is responsible for preparing and organizing conference room setups throughout Cacapon Resort State Park.
- Employee will be required to setup and tear down tables and chairs, cleanup of all conferencing areas.
- Also is responsible for helping to maintain safety standards in the work- place and maintaining a clean working environment.
- Will be required to work with multiple departments to complete setups or other related duties assigned by supervisor.
- May be responsible for processing and completing required paperwork.
- Follows company policies including uniform and grooming standards.
- Knows and follows all company, State, and Safety Management Programs.
- All other duties as assigned.
MARGINAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS:
- Perform deep cleaning projects as assigned.
- Knows and follows all company, State, and Safety Management Programs.
- Works extra shifts and hours as required.
- Assists in other departments as needed.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB DUTIES:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Ability to learn all company training materials; Knowledge of the Park and surrounding area.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and be self-motivated.
- Extensive knowledge of audio visual equipment and/or willingness to learn.
- Honest and trustworthy.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM JOB DUTIES:
- Ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Stand and walk on hard, tiled, wood, carpet and possibly uneven surfaces, for extended periods of time.
- Stand/remain upright/standing for extended periods of time.
- Sit/remain sitting up for extended periods of time
- Kneel; bend; stoop; turn/twist; and reach down, forward and overhead repetitively.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public. Ability to learn quickly and perform efficiently the duties assigned.
