Part Time Veterinarian

Cacapon Veterinary Medical Center in Capon Bridge, WV is seeking a part time veterinarian to join our growing small animal practice. We are a veterinary hospital, having close relationships with clients and staff. The hospital is privately owned and operated based on Biblical principles. We take pride in providing excellent care in a friendly, team-oriented approach. Our staff is experienced, hardworking and work well together. Services include paperless records, ultrasound, CR radiography, blood analysis, dental prophylaxis, electrocautery, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery. In addition to a relaxed, low pressure environment we offer work-life balance. Emergencies are referred to the local emergency hospital. Our hospital is closed on the weekends. Both experienced and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Salary and benefits will commensurate with experience.

Capon Bridge is located in the eastern panhandle of wild and wonderful West Virginia. We are located 17 minutes from Winchester, Virginia and the I-81 corridor. The area offers urban and outdoor recreation. The community offers a variety of restaurants, kayaking, fishing, camping, hiking, art and music.

Responsibilities
- Provide veterinary care to animals, including physical examinations, vaccinations, and medical treatments.
- Perform surgical procedures as needed, such as spaying/neutering and dental surgeries.
- Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries in animals, prescribing medications and follow-up care.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with veterinary regulations.
- Collaborate with other veterinary staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
