Position: Sommelier / Front Waiter

About Us:
Caché is a modern neighborhood bistro nestled in the heart of the Inner Sunset. Rooted in French culinary traditions with a contemporary approach, we celebrate the vibrant seasons and exceptional ingredients of the Bay Area.

Our wine program highlights natural, organic, and small-scale producers, thoughtfully curated to complement our evolving menu. With a targeted opening in the third week of January, we are excited to build a team that shares our passion for food, wine, and hospitality.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sommelier / Front Waiter to join us. Whether you're well-versed in natural wine or eager to dive into this dynamic world, this role offers a unique opportunity to grow and make an impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Wine Lover: Guide guests through our wine selection, offering thoughtful pairings and sharing the stories of natural and organic winemakers.

• Service Excellence: Deliver warm, attentive service that embodies the welcoming and approachable vibe of Caché.

• Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to create a seamless guest experience, aligning with our seasonal and regional focus.

• Dining Room Leadership: Take care of the dining room, ensuring every guest feels seen and valued.

• Learning & Growth: Stay curious and continuously develop your knowledge of natural wines and food pairings.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of or genuine curiosity about natural wines, with a strong desire to learn and grow.

• A passion for food and wine, with an appreciation for seasonal and sustainable ingredients.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on guest engagement.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing menus.

• Previous experience in a front-of-house or sommelier role is a plus but not required.
